In addition, Steve lives with his wife, Faye, their daughter Freya, and son Austin, along with their beloved blue German Shepherd, Nya, who resembles a wolf. Nya is a key part of Steve’s life. Steve has trained Nya to a high standard, and her impressive tricks, like walking between his legs, never fail to amuse people. They completed the Three Yorkshire Peaks to raise money for the Railway Children, where Nya became the mascot for the day. Recently, Steve swam the Humber Estuary for the Humber Rescue team, with Nya waiting at the shoreline to greet him. Looking ahead, Steve plans to take on the London Dock2Dock 5km swim.
