Dutch Shepherd
The Dutch Shepherd is a herding dog of Dutch origin. They were used by shepherds and farmers who needed a versatile dog, with few demands, and a dog that was able to adapt to a harsh and meager existence. Baring a strong resemblance between the Dutch Shepherd and German or Belgian Shepherds when looking at them. This is because these cousin breeds have a common ancestor and only diverged a little over a century ago. While Dutch Shepherds are less common than other shepherd breeds, they are regarded for being healthy and easy to teach.
