Dachshund (Standard)
The Standard Dachshund, is a small to medium-sized breed of dog with a long and low-slung body, originally bred in Germany for hunting badgers. They have a distinctive appearance with short legs, a long muscular body, and a friendly and curious expression. They come in three different coat types, smooth, longhaired, and wirehaired, and in a variety of colors including black, chocolate, red, and cream. Standard Dachshunds are intelligent, brave, and loyal companions, but can also be stubborn and independent. They require moderate exercise and regular grooming to maintain their coat.
