Border Terrier
The Border Terrier is an adorable little dog and part of the Terrier breeding group. It is known for its distinctive “scruffiness”, including a wiry, medium-length coat. Borders are low-maintenance dogs that were bred to work well with others. They are known to be adaptable and will generally have no issues with travelling, these characteristics make them one of the best dog breeds when it comes to working on set or taking part in photography shoots.
Originating in the mountainous areas between the English and Scottish border, the Border Terrier was bred to help protect sheep from foxes and other predators. Due to the difficulty of the terrain, the breed needed to be nimble enough to keep up with men on horseback whilst also being small enough to dig up fox lairs. The Border Terrier was incredibly efficient at its job and was widely regarded as a tough, and hard worker; whilst they are far more unlikely to be seen digging up fox lairs today, they still retain much of that drive and enthusiasm that makes them perfect as a working dog breed.
Due to their history, the Border Terrier dog breed is notoriously good at working together with other animals and is completely comfortable even around younger children. The Border Terrier is a breed full of charm and personality and can provide an iconic appearance to any brand.
