Meet Quin!

Breed:
Dutch Shepherd
Age:
1
Location:
Berkshire, South East
Bio:

Quin is an exceptional Dutch Shepherd–based working dog, known for his high-level protection training and striking on-set presence. Quin is a purpose-bred Bullherder. A rare blend of Dutch Herder, Belgian Malinois, and a touch of bull breed. He carries elite protection genetics and a powerful performance lineage. Bred and raised by his current handlers, he is the son of the world’s first and only Bullherder to earn a PSA3 title. Quin is proudly following in her footsteps.

Quin is protection-trained and built for action. He dominates in controlled aggression. Whether it’s security work, crowd control, self-defence scenarios, or high-pressure demonstrations, he handles it all with precision and authority. He has full release-on-command control and has successfully competed in several elite UK working dog competitions. At the UK’s largest working dog event in Iver, Buckinghamshire, Quin earned his ZWP1 title and placed 3rd in the Special Long Send (Suit) exercise, affirming his ability to balance power with precision. He also placed 3rd in the Senior Puppy Class at another national event, where he scored maximum points for obedience.

His training runs on sharp, reward-driven precision. Clicker-based methods maintain clear, fast, and effective communication. He responds instantly and works with purpose. Quin responds reliably to verbal commands and, in protection work, to specific hand signals, particularly for commands such as “watch” and “away.” Highly motivated by food and play, he will confidently and happily work for others when properly introduced, making him both safe and effective for set work or live demonstrations.

Quin is lean and athletic, with a muscular frame and a striking black coat. A flash of white on his chest adds to his standout look. He carries himself with calm confidence and unmistakable grit. The bull breed in him fuels his power and determination. He’s completely at ease in collars, muzzles, and harnesses. He owns the camera when posing with props or hitting familiar working stances. He hasn’t worn full pet outfits yet, but with a bit of notice, he’ll take on new gear like a pro.

Despite his strong working drive, Quin is incredibly well-balanced in a family setting. Raised alongside young children and dogs of all sizes, he is gentle, patient, and respectful. He performs a wide range of tricks, is quick to learn new ones, and is always happy to entertain when asked. Around other dogs, Quin is calm and confident, often disengaging from conflict but capable of setting boundaries when needed. Quin hasn’t met cats yet, and his strong prey drive means he needs close supervision around smaller animals.

Handled with the respect due to any high-drive working dog, Quin is a safe, obedient, and charismatic talent with experience in both working trials and entertainment environments. His fanbase continues to grow online, admired for both his incredible bloodlines and standout personality. Quin offers unmatched versatility and professionalism. Whether performing tricks, showcasing advanced protection work, or simply being the calm, reliable presence on set.

For productions seeking a serious working dog with high-level protection training and the heart and charisma to match, Quin is the perfect choice.
