Joining the Stars on the Red Carpet
Sonny, Rocco, Juno and Ra found themselves amongst some familiar faces and big names in attendance, including Theo James, Vinnie Jones, Giancarlo Esposito, David Beckham & Maya Jama as actors and guests arrived to celebrate the new season.
For the Dobermans, this meant stepping into a busy live environment surrounded by cameras, photographers, guests and plenty of attention.

For brands, entertainment companies and creative agencies, events like this demonstrate another way in which professional animal talent can contribute to a wider campaign.
A premiere isn’t simply about the screening itself. It generates photography, press coverage, interviews, social media content and conversations around the release. introduction to carefully selected animal talent can create an additional visual moment that naturally attracts attention.

Why Dobermans Were the Perfect Fit
Casting the right animal is far more than simply choosing a particular breed or species.
Dobermans are instantly recognisable for their athletic build, elegant appearance and confident presence. For an event connected to the stylish and distinctive world of Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen, Sonny, Rocco, Juno and Ra certainly looked the part.
Together, the four dogs created a commanding visual presence on the red carpet while complementing the atmosphere and aesthetic surrounding the series.
This is where professional animal casting becomes particularly important. Appearance may form part of the brief, but temperament, training, confidence and suitability for the environment all need to be considered when selecting animal talent.
Behind the Scenes with Urban Paws
For Sonny, Rocco, Juno and Ra, the evening was an opportunity for the animal talents to do what they do best – make an impression.
The four Dobermans looked right at home on the red carpet, confidently taking in the atmosphere and attracting plenty of attention from guests, photographers and those attending the premiere.
Accompanied by their experienced handlers, the dogs were able to enjoy their moment in the spotlight while helping create some fantastic photo opportunities throughout the evening.
Urban Paws’ own Matthew Reynolds (One of the handlers), who attended the premiere with the Dobermans shared their experience:

“The premiere of The Gentlemen Season 2 was a stunningly lavish event, with The Guildhall used spectacularly to replicate the type of country manor seen in the show, fully immersing the guests. As part of this setting, four of our Dobermans- Juno, Sonny, Rocco and Ra, were hired to be ‘guard dogs’ on site (though there was much more petting than guarding!). It was an unforgettable experience to have our dogs mingle with the likes of Vinnie Jones, Guy Ritchie, Laurence Fishburne, Giancarlo Esposito and Theo James, and a privilege that Netflix chose our animals for the event! ” – Matthew Reynolds
This was a brilliant opportunity, allowing our talent to be part of such a high-profile entertainment event and another example of the versatility of professional dog models and animal talent.
From appearing on camera to attending premieres, PR events and brand activations, the right animal talent can bring personality, visual impact and something unexpected to an event.
